The Ask Zoe Small Business Awards

Founded in 2024 in hope to bring our Small Business Community together and celebrate all things Yorkshire and give thanks to our local community and supply chain.

Ask Zoe is delighted to announce the return of the Ask Zoe Small Business Awards for a third year, celebrating the outstanding work small businesses provide in the local and surrounding area, including community champions that make Yorkshire’s small business community so special.

Following two successful years of recognising local talent and raising funds for The Sheffield Children’s Hospital, nominations are now officially open for the 2026 awards, with businesses and individuals across Yorkshire invited to put themselves forward or nominate someone they believe deserves recognition.

Founded in 2024 by business consultant and marketing strategist Zoe Wadsworth, the awards were created to bring the small business community together, celebrate entrepreneurial success and highlight those individuals who consistently go above and beyond in their industries and local communities.

The 2026 awards will once again take place in Barnsley and feature a range of categories designed to recognise excellence across customer service, networking, creativity, inclusivity, professional services, community impact and business growth.

Speaking about the launch, Zoe Wadsworth said:

“The Ask Zoe Small Business Awards were created to shine a spotlight on the incredible people and businesses that work tirelessly behind the scenes every day. Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and these awards give us the opportunity to celebrate their achievements, resilience and contribution to our communities. We’re incredibly proud to be bringing the awards back for a third year and can’t wait to see this year’s nominations.”

The awards continue to support charitable fundraising efforts in memory of Oliver George Howe, helping to leave a lasting legacy through community action and support.

Nominations are open now and can be submitted via the Ask Zoe website. Businesses may enter themselves or be nominated by customers, colleagues, suppliers or fellow business owners.

• Special Recognition Award
