The Business Village has been a successful and innovative business centre in Barnsley for more than 30 years. During the last few years, we’ve been so successful that we had started to run out of space! So, to give you more of what you love, we began work on Growing The Village.

 

With more than 9000 sq.ft. of brand new flexible office space in our exciting new building there’s going to be plenty of room for you to grow your own business in.  We’re building 25 state-of-the-art new managed workspaces, comprising of six hybrid units and six offices on the ground floor and a further 13 offices on the first floor.

We’ve already began our work, and this is the place where you can keep up with our progress on the new build, which due to COVID-19 now has an expected completion date of January 2021.


The project is receiving up to £1,468,000 of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020 and is supported by Northern Powerhouse. The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (and in London the intermediate body Greater London Authority) is the Managing Authority for European Regional Development Fund. Established by the European Union, the European Regional Development Fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations. Electric vehicles are becoming an increasingly affordable and popular choice for drivers. Our new building features secure, convenient charging facilities.
